Quality Control Operator

Description Position Overview The Quality Control Operator is responsible for maintaining quality on the production line by completing regular quality checks as well as checking bottles before they are packaged to remove any that have irregularities and do not meet quality guidelines. Essential Job Functions Maintain quality control by inspecting all bottles on the production line Completes daily and weekly sanitation cleanings on production line Work with Operators on the production line by communicating any errors in quality of manufactured product to ensure corrective action is taken Discard bad finished product Discard bottles that have cap issues, discoloration in bottles mold, deformations, and impurities Ensure bottle coder is printing and printing the correct date, time and lot code Check for label placement by referring to label placement guidelines Other Skills/Abilities Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter production metrics Ability to comprehend basic verbal and written instructions Ability to distinguish and identify different products by reading labels Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Education and Experience The ideal candidate will have a GED/high school education (preferred); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
