Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Clifton Park, New York. Working traditional weekdays from Monday to Friday, you will find a collaborative atmosphere that promotes teamwork among healthcare professionals. You will have access to a variety of treatment tools and equipment that enhance therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques, including specialized modalities for orthopedic recovery. Our onsite setting allows for personalized patient interactions and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold therapy.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, determining their needs and establishing specific goals to track progress.
• Instruct patients and their families on proper exercises and techniques to be performed at home, ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical teaching and mentoring, providing guidance to physical therapy interns, students, and other clinical staff.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Engage in administrative responsibilities including documentation for patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans to comply with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic cases, targeting diverse patient demographics, from athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to elderly individuals facing mobility challenges. Each patient presents a unique set of needs, and your expertise will enable you to tailor treatment interventions that address their specific recovery goals, preferences, and lifestyle considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active and valid New York State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, demonstrating a thorough understanding of orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation methodologies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred, signifying advanced knowledge and specialized skills in orthopedic care.
• Prior experience in an outpatient setting will be advantageous, providing familiarity with the workflow and patient interactions typical for rehabilitation care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
