### Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: Nights; 7p-7a, 36 hrs/week; holiday rotation
- Call Requirement: Possibly during low census; 2300 - 0700
- Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all Pediatric specialties
- Float Opportunities: May float across NICU/B3 gen floor/PICU
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2-4
- Bed Size: 14

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric patients in a Hematology/Oncology setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Be accountable for patient assessments, care planning, and implementing nursing interventions.

Qualifications:


- Experience: Pediatric experience within the last 18 months (required).
- Specialized Experience: Hematology/Oncology experience (required).
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to the ED to care for inpatient holds.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Experience: EPIC within the last 12 months (required).
- Travel Experience: Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months (no first-time travelers).
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- Licenses: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate at time of submission (required).
- Work History: Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience (required).
- Profile Requirements: Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Pediatric/Oncology) (required).
- References: Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within 24 months (preferred).
