Planner Scheduler

Planner Scheduler Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM: 7/6/26, 7/22/26 (final). Responsibilities Planner Scheduler is responsible for job planning and/or resource scheduling of approved work orders relating to underground, mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, and/or control systems work within Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer). Under direct to general supervision, the position researches, plans, and coordinates a variety of resources for the safe and successful completion of approved wastewater systems’ maintenance activities and projects and assists with scheduling the appropriate acquisition, delivery, and application of necessary resources within approved timeframes, and monitors the efficiencies and effectiveness of resource allocations and utilization during designated work projects. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Fleet Compliance Coordinator or Fleet Coordinator or performing supervisory duties over maintenance and operations, engineering, or engineering technician work related to repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems, lift stations, or wastewater treatment plant systems. Two (2) years of experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Electrician, Maintenance & Operations Senior Technician, or Stationary Engineer II or above performing duties related to repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems, lift stations, or wastewater treatment plant systems. Three (3) years of experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Senior Engineering Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Stationary Engineer I, or Maintenance and Operations Technician or above performing duties related to repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems, lift stations, or wastewater treatment plant systems. Three (3) years of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or another field closely related to the job. One (1) year of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler. One (1) year of experience supervising employees performing work related to repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems. Certification in Project Management recognized by the Project Management Institute or another accredited institution. Two (2) years of experience in an industrial, construction, or governmental setting as a Planner Scheduler. Two (2) years of experience supervising employees performing work related to repair, maintenance, inspection, cleaning, construction, and/or operation of underground pipeline systems and lift stations or wastewater treatment plant systems.
