Normal location: material landfill in Nashville, TN. Role Overview Each day you’ll work at one of our recycling facilities that service over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Heavy Equipment Operator II you’ll be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders. You will maintain a high level of skill and determination, and your work will be recognized for its impact on operations. Our sites have strict safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform preventative maintenance; maintain accurate records. Move and position raw materials and finished components using material moving equipment. Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Over 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Preferred experience with compactor, ADT, dozer, or excavator. Ideal Candidate Profile Independent and self‑motivated. Accountable for adhering to safety guidelines. Good communicator who supports colleagues. Problem‑solving skills applied independently. Physical Demands and Work Environment Use motor coordination with finger dexterity most of the workday (e.g., machine operation). Exert physical effort handling objects less than 30 pounds occasionally. Rare exposure to cuts, burns, or toxic chemicals. Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes most of the workday.
