The Nurse Practitioner is a key clinical provider within our Women’s Metabolic Health program, delivering comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan. This role focuses on the interconnected dimensions of metabolic, mechanical, and mental health, providing evidence-based, patient-centered care that empowers women to achieve sustainable wellness. This is a full-time (40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, no weekends) virtual position. Practices under established NP Standard Procedures, consistent with organizational policy and all applicable state and federal regulations. Conducts age-appropriate, full-scopeassessments, includingdetailedhistoriesand physical examinations,in alignmentwith departmentalprotocols. Performsintake assessments for womenat risk orwithOverweightor Obesity and/or symptomatic menopause. Provides patient education on obesity as a chronic, multifactorial condition, emphasizing long-term health strategies. Utilizes motivational interviewing to promoteahealthylifestyle,includinghabit change and formationin the areas ofnutrition, activity,sleep,and stress management. Ordersdiagnostictestsand prescribes medicationswithin scope of practiceand patient care protocols. Provides virtual and phone-based patient consultations; collaborates with clinical teammates to ensure high-quality, seamless care throughout the continuum. Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing onphysiological, psychosocial, cultural,spiritualand cognitive status, patient/family education, familydynamics, and patient advocacy. Consults with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary partners asindicatedby patient presentation. Participates collaboratively with physicians and other clinicians to support quality outcomes, care consistency, and adherence to clinical pathways. Reviews medicalrecordsforfollow-upor ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols. Establishesandmaintainseffective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families. Applies all safety and risk-management principles, ensuring patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Responds effectively in urgent or emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting appropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning. Demonstrates an exceptionalservice philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team. Uses clinical technology, EHR systems, and telehealth tools proficiently to document, track, and communicate care. Board certification in FNP, AGNP,orWHNP. Current, unrestricted State Advanced Practice Nurse License, prescriptive authority (by state), and DEA and ability to timely obtain. Ability to obtain additional state licensure, prescriptive authority, and additional DEA registrations as required. MSCP Certification from the Menopause Society strongly preferred , or the ability to obtain within a stipulated timeframe. 1+ years’ Obesity Medicine experience required . Virtual practice experience highly preferred. Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity from OMA or TOS/AAPA a plus.
