Bartender Job Description – Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar is looking for a professional, high‑energy Bartender to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience while preparing and serving cocktails, whiskey selections, beer, wine, and other beverages with consistency and care. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced restaurant and bar environment. You should be able to connect with guests, recommend drinks and menu items, maintain a clean bar, and follow all alcohol service and safety regulations. Bartender Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service Take drink and food orders accurately Prepare and serve cocktails, whiskey, beer, wine, and other beverages according to Rokka standards Recommend beverages, specials, and menu items based on guest preferences Check identification to verify legal drinking age Follow all alcohol service, food safety, and quality regulations Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked bar area Clean glasses, utensils, tools, equipment, and work surfaces Monitor guest needs and support a positive dining and bar experience Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management Bartender Requirements Previous bartending or bar service experience preferred Meets state minimum age requirement to serve alcohol Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, whiskey, beer, and wine preferred Alcohol service certification preferred, if applicable Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance Strong communication and guest service skills Basic math and POS/computer skills Strong time management and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and knowledge of drink‑mixing tools and techniques Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed High school diploma or equivalent preferred About Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar offers an elevated dining experience with craft cocktails, whiskey selections, quality food, and a polished restaurant atmosphere.
