Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a medical-surgical setting. Assesses patient needs, implements appropriate interventions, and collaborates with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Assess and reassess patients to develop and modify individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments according to protocols and physician orders.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Document patient data, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure seamless continuity of care and effective handoffs.
- Identify and report potential safety risks and medical errors proactively.
- Hold an active licensure as a registered nurse in the state.
- Possess at least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Have current BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Demonstrate professional behaviors including empathy, tact, and diplomacy.
- Prefer candidates with telemetry and pediatrics experience.
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately.
