This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a position within a specialty pharmacy environment focused on Medication Therapy Management (MTM). The position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for extension or direct hire after an initial 13-week period.

Location: Onsite in Zachary, LA (near Baton Rouge).

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform pharmacist duties in a specialty pharmacy setting, emphasizing medication therapy management and production work.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and management of pharmaceuticals in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records and support operational initiatives within the pharmacy.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license is required.
• Must hold an active pharmacy license in at least one of the following states, with the ability and willingness to reciprocate licensure in others: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming.
• Previous experience in retail and/or specialty pharmacy settings.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and MTM practices.
