This is a part time day lead host job. Specifically Saturday, Sunday. 8am - 3pm Experience with Resy or Open Table Northwestern students may apply Students leaving in August do not apply The host coordinates dining room activities to assure quality service is provided to guests.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Meet and greet customers promptly, courteously, and graciously, addressing customers by name whenever possible.
• Learn the locals' names and recognize them when they come to the restaurant.
• Escort customers to tables and provides menus.
• Arrange parties or special services for customers.
• Answer phones; manage reservations and notes in Resy!
• Maintain complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and daily specials.
• Manage the door; maintain wait list, as appropriate; inform customers of approximate wait time and where they can wait for a table; inform customers when their table is prepared.
• Manage customer complaints and dissatisfaction in a prompt and professional manner; determine necessary adjustments; inform manager of complaint and resolution.
• Anticipate customers' needs by constantly scanning the room.
• Respond properly in any dining room emergency or safety situation.
• Inspect menus and lists to ensure their condition and appearance.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

EvaDeans Bakery & Café "A Contemporary Classic" is just that. We are three very hands on approach owners who are looking to create an atmosphere of the old world feel of your grandmother's local bakery and the modern feel of your favorite brunch restaurant under one roof. Garrett VanBergen the chef and owner has over 16 years in the restaurant industry coming from some popular spots like Farmhouse Evanston, Virgin Hotel, and Lula Café to name a few. He will oversee the restaurant operations. His wife and co-owner Jordana Downer will bring her wealth of pastry knowledge after 13 years at Bennison's Bakery to this brand new concept in downtown Wilmette. Jordana is the daughter of Jory Downer, Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie gold medalist and owner/operator at Bennison's Bakery in Evanston for the past 40 years. Jory will also be bringing his expertise to the entire concept as he is our third partner in the project. EvaDeans Bakery & Café is looking to become the face of daytime dining in downtown Wilmette. Including everything from healthy breakfast options to the brunch classics or the quick coffee and croissant you pick up on your way to work we have you covered.
