What You’ll Do:

• Provide obstetric hospital care including triage, deliveries, and GYN emergencies
• Manage routine and complex OB cases, including unassigned GYN emergencies and deliveries
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient outcomes in a hospital setting
• Handle approximately 13+ patient encounters daily
• Perform deliveries, typically numbering 1-4 per day for hospitalists
• Contribute to the hospital’s OB services under the MHAS model, with scheduled clinic and call shifts

What You Need:

• Valid Iowa medical license and Board Eligible/Certified in OB/GYN
• Experience in hospital-based OB care preferred
• Strong skills in OB triage, delivery, and GYN emergencies
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

About the Assignment:
This assignment involves providing OB hospitalist coverage at a well-regarded hospital in Waverly, IA, with approximately 200 annual deliveries. The hospital cares for a diverse obstetric patient population and requires coverage for OB triage, deliveries, and GYN emergencies within a Level 1 NICU setting. The schedule includes clinic and on-call responsibilities, supporting a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
