Electrical Engineer - Industrial Automation and Controls (Relocation Available)

Location: Midwest (Onsite, 1st Shift)
Compensation: 70K - 95K Base + Relocation Support

What You Will Be Doing

You will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving electrical and automation systems:

• Lead electrical and automation projects from concept through completion
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify Allen Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
• Support HMI and SCADA systems and industrial communication networks
• Analyze and interpret wiring diagrams, circuit designs, and electrical drawings
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, motors, drives, and automation equipment
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve system performance
• Oversee contractors and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
• Support equipment startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA70E standards
• Assist with power distribution systems and industrial electrical infrastructure
• Support steam boiler and related automation systems where applicable

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for engineers who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a real-world industrial setting.

Core qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical or automation environments
• Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Experience with motor controls, VFDs, and industrial control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA70E)

Nice to have:

• Experience with HMI or SCADA systems
• Exposure to industrial networks and communication protocols
• Experience working with boilers, steam systems, or heavy industrial equipment
