Accounting Associate

Precision Recruiting Solutions Group® is working with an established organization seeking an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting activities and financial operations. This position will work across several areas of accounting and is well suited for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with both financial and operational information.

Responsibilities

• Process and review a variety of accounting transactions.
• Prepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and financial records.
• Assist with cash receipts, payments, account adjustments, and other transactional accounting activities.
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with resolving payment or billing issues.
• Review accounting information for accuracy and proper coding.
• Support inventory-related accounting and reconciliation activities.
• Work with internal departments to resolve accounting and transaction discrepancies.
• Prepare recurring reports, account schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
• Provide backup support across accounting functions as needed.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar financial support role.
• General understanding of accounting principles and transaction processing.
• Experience performing account reconciliations and researching discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, operations, and other internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting multiple areas of an accounting department.
• Exposure to inventory, operational accounting, or a transaction-intensive business environment.
• Experience preparing financial schedules or recurring management reports.
