Assistant Professor (CHS)This is a position for a regional anesthesiologist or general anesthesiologist primarily to provide clinical anesthesia care with occasional teaching opportunities to residents and medical students. If appointed on the CHS track, duties will also include education and research components.The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.Duties for appointment to the Clinician Teacher (CT) track: Provision of clinical anesthetic care to surgical patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call) in an anesthesia team model.Duties for appointment to CHS track: Major teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students in the operating room, and didactic sessions. Primary emphasis of teaching will be in general anesthesia procedures and techniques, or in area of subspecialty training. Provision of clinical anesthetic care to surgical patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call) in an anesthesia team model or personally performed anesthesia. Opportunity for participation in clinical research for interested candidates.This position is full or part time, 60%-100%This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Professor or Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor or Professor (CHS) or Associate Professor (CHS) or Assistant Professor (CHS).
