Diesel Technician

As we continue to grow and expand, Blaine Brothers Baldwin, WI has an opening for a technician in our Diesel Truck and Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone detail oriented, with a strong mechanical aptitude, and strong work ethic. The job handles the complete repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks.

Schedule: 2nd shift (3pm-12am), Monday-Friday - 2nd Shift Pay Differential!

Wage Range: $25- $40/hr (varies based on skillset and experience)

Essential Duties: Perform repair on diesel trucks; Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear; Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; make adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units; Inspect the overall condition of trucks to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements; Compile inspection reports detailing their findings; Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements; Ensure the final work product meets quality standards; Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers

Requirements: Great work ethic; Willingness to jump in and help out where needed; Attention to detail; Mechanical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience or technical training; Welding experience (a plus); DOT certification (a plus); CDL; Clean driving record; Basic tool set and tool box for heavy truck repair to start (assistance programs available); Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently; Good written and verbal communication skills; Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker; Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient, and friendly work environment; Honesty and respect
