Marina Store Associate

JOB TITLE: MARINA STORE ASSOCIATE DEPARTMENT: Marina Mini Mart/Boathouse REPORTS TO: Supervisor/General Manager SALARY RANGE: $16.50 per hour POSITION TYPE: Permanent / Part time (29 hrs / Non-exempt) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and engage with customers to provide help. Check customers’ merchandise, scan all items, and receive payment. Show enthusiasm and listen closely to customer questions and needs. Handle multiple customers at the same time if necessary. Report any items that cannot be scanned to management immediately. Help advertise specials and sale items to customers. Assist with pricing, putting up orders, facing merchandise, dusting, sweeping, stocking, and receiving orders. Operate the point of sale system including the fuel console and credit card machine. Reconcile shift and daily sales reports and transmit funds to the Administration Office. Willingly work any shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure operation of the Marina Stores. Learn at least one new thing about the Hardware/Marina Store or any other department of Havasu Landing each day. Perform any and all other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS Be 18 years of age or older. Have one year of cash handling and customer service experience (preferred). Have good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple word problems). Have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Experience in construction, retail or hardware store operations is a plus. Have a high school diploma or GED. Be able to stand for long periods, frequently bend, grasp, reach, and sometimes climb. Be able to lift up to fifty pounds periodically. Be able to perform team lifting on items considered heavy or awkward. Submit to a pre‑employment drug test and criminal background investigation.
