About the Position

Century Martial Arts is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Showroom Customer Service & Sales Associate to join our team.

This position provides customer service, retail sales, product assistance, order processing, cash handling, and inventory support in our company showroom. The ideal candidate enjoys helping customers, is comfortable interacting with people in person and by phone, and can work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Sales

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service in the showroom.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, promotions, and specials.
• Provide accurate and knowledgeable product information.
• Build positive customer relationships and create an exceptional customer experience.
• Process customer orders and sales accurately and efficiently.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional telephone customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.

Retail & Cashier Responsibilities

• Process cash, credit card, and other customer transactions.
• Operate and balance the cash drawer accurately at the end of the shift.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional showroom.
• Set up and maintain product displays and merchandise.
• Monitor product availability and communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of Century products, pricing, promotions, and specials.

Inventory & Warehouse Support

• Perform weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Assist with inventory organization and accuracy.
• Pull customer orders as needed.
• Operate a pallet jack when performing order-pulling duties.
• Occasionally assist with activities in the warehouse or fulfillment area.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months–1 year of experience in customer service, retail, sales, cashiering, or a similar customer-facing position .
• Basic computer skills, including typing and navigating Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers by phone, email, and in person.

Preferred:

• Some college coursework or college experience.
• Previous experience with retail sales, inside sales, order processing, inventory, POS systems, or warehouse/fulfillment operations .
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Computer & Technical Skills

The successful candidate should be comfortable using a computer for everyday business activities, including:

• Microsoft Windows
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft Excel
• Email and internet applications
• Order entry and customer information systems
• Point-of-sale (POS) or payment processing systems

Training will be provided on Century's products, systems, and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily customer-facing and requires frequent standing and walking.

• Approximately 75% standing/walking and 25% sitting.
• Regularly use hands for handling merchandise, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Ability to talk and hear effectively.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds with assistance .
• Ability to perform occasional warehouse and order-pulling duties.
• Correctable vision of approximately 20/40 or better.

Work Environment

The primary work environment is a professional showroom/office setting. The position may occasionally require work in the warehouse or fulfillment area.

Occasional exposure may include:

• Temperature changes.
• Noise from warehouse machinery and vehicles.
• Moving mechanical equipment and vehicles.
• Light dust and fumes.

• No supervisory responsibilities.
