Full-Time Facility Cook

Position Summary:

At Magnolia Belle Women's Addiction Wellness Center we make a difference in people's lives every day. We are looking for a Part-Time Cook to join our team. This position will have the schedule of Monday, Thursday, and Friday: approx. 12pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday: 8am-6pm. We welcome students and new grads.

What you'll be doing:

Cooking for our residents and guests; understanding that the dining experience and good food is essential to their well-being. Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
Essentially, you will be conducting basic food preparation: wash, cut, peel, slice, grind and season food items to prepare. Measure and mix ingredients according to spices, use of a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as stoves, ovens, blenders, mixers, grinders, and slicers with proficiency
Assisting in daily inventory of food items; inventory of delivered goods, unpacking and stocking delivered goods. Shopping and unloading van 2x per week. Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Magnolia Belle

Skills/Qualifications:

Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes due to business and staffing needs including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended times if necessary
Knowledge of cooking measures and procedures
Utilize kitchen equipment appropriately and safely
Maintain sanitary and safe work area always
Education Level: High School Diploma or GED

Work Conditions and Demands:

Work sometimes in a hot, humid and/or cold environment
Dexterity to operate a kitchen utensils and equipment such as stoves, ovens, blenders, mixers, grinders, and slicers
Working hazards include hot surfaces, cold or freezing surfaces, steam, wet floors, hot oil, heavy lifting, knives and other sharp objects, mechanical equipment, and cleaning chemicals
Standing for extended periods of time
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Ability to work independently as needed
