Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days/Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU environment
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, nasal cannula specialty gases, and manage PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC/UVC/PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care for surgical neonates; comfortable with line changes involving multiple drips
• Float within scope of practice to other units (PICU, CTICU, Med Surg) and satellite NICU campuses as needed; mileage reimbursed from home base location
• Adhere to a variable day/night schedule published monthly; must maintain full flexibility to work days or nights as scheduled
• Work 2 of the following 3 holidays (including Eves): Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's — no holiday RTO permitted

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending license considered if ETA for posting is available)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience; strong Level 3 NICU candidates with surgical experience on newborns may be considered
• BLS certification required
• Advanced NRP certification required
• Cardiac experience required
• Must have own reliable transportation; willingness to float to satellite campuses required
• Must be available to work weekends with full scheduling flexibility; maximum of 6 days RTO — must be confirmed upfront
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Experience in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric setting
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• First-time travelers with verified Level 4 NICU experience will be considered
