The BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center serves individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. It offers a range of urgent care services, including therapy, medication management, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention, within a peaceful and therapeutic atmosphere. What your day looks like as a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager As RN Nurse Manager, you will lead the coordination and delivery of psychiatric and medical services for individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance use crises. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee rapid assessments, crisis interventions, medication administration, and ongoing clinical monitoring to help stabilize clients and reduce hospitalizations. You will supervise nursing staff, support the staff psychiatrist with medication management, and ensure regulatory compliance while shaping health policies that promote safety, quality, and recovery. What you need to be successful To qualify for this position, candidates must have the following: Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year of behavioral health experience, including supervisory responsibilities, and able to register as a QMHP trainee within 30 days of hire. BSN preferred. Strong psychiatric nursing knowledge, including administering psychotropic medications safely and familiarity with the DSM V. Leadership skills for planning, supervising, and evaluating staff performance. Effective verbal and written communication, accurate medical record‑keeping, data analysis for quality improvement, and basic computer proficiency. Solid understanding of public health, community services, agency procedures, and counseling techniques to deliver high‑quality care in crisis stabilization settings. Ability to build strong relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to risk management and reporting efforts.
