Resident Engineer/Senior Construction Inspector

Our ideal candidate has experience on highway, road and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Document all on-site observations of construction progress such as equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports when required. Proactively communicate with the contractor and the client to progress the project in a timely manner to meet the project goals. Job Requirements NICET III-IV Certification or Valid Professional Engineers license in the State of New Jersey is required. 7+ years of experience in construction inspection. EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus. ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 Preferred. Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications, as well as familiarity with inspection tools and software. Experience with inspection of Federal-aid projects and relevant certifications is not required but is a plus. Experience with bridge construction is a plus. Experience with NJTA Capex or NJDOT Site Manager is not required but is a plus. Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed. Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day. Strong organization and communication skills. Valid Driver's License.
