Description:
OurSensorsTestEngineeringteaminBurnsvilleMinnesotaisseekingaSeniorTechnician(T3)tojoinourteamofexperiencedengineersandtechnicianssupportingdesignengineeringandproduction(OE).Asamemberofourteam,youwillleadinbuildingandassemblinginnovativetestsolutionssupportingbothcommercialanddefensesensorproducts.Inthisrole,youwillbeexposedtoawidevarietyoftestsolutionsatvariousstagesoftheirlifecycle.Asuccessfulcandidatewillbeafastlearnerwiththeabilitytorespondtorequestsefficiently,haveastrongbackgroundinbothelectricalandmechanicaltestsystembuildandassembly,andacuriositytotroubleshootandsolvetestequipmentproblems.

Thisisa1-yearcontractrolewiththeintenttoextendafull-timepositionuponcompletionandsuccesswithinrole.

WHATYOUWILLDO:
• Youwillberesponsibleforbuildingandassemblingtesthardware(cables,valveboxes,controlboxes,interfaceboxes,etc.)andtestsolutionsperengineeringdrawings,aswellasresolvingday-to-daytechnicalproblemsbytroubleshootingelectricalequipmentanddeviceproblemsontheproductionline.Thisteamutilizesvarioustools(hand,air,pneumatic,electric,etc.)tosupportthebuildingofequipment.
• Youwillcreateandreviewtestsystemdesignsanddocumentationwithengineeringtomeetcustomerrequirements.Willworkinupdatingdocumentation(drawings,schematics,BOM,classification)orprovidingmarkupsofnewandexistingtesthardwareaswellassupplybuildnotesfornext-timebuilds.
• Youwilltroubleshootissuesreportedbyoperationsandprovidethenecessaryrepairstosolutions(cables,boxes,racks,etc.)inatimelymanner.
• Youwillworkinacollaborativeteamenvironmentandbeabletocommunicateeffectivelywithengineers,operators,andtechnicians.
• Youwillworkonelectrical,mechanical(pressure),andvideotestequipment.Learninghowtobecomeasystemintegratorofcustom-builtandCOTSequipment.

QUALIFICATIONSYOUMUSTHAVE:
• TypicallyrequiresanAA/ASdegree(orother2-yearposthighschooltraining)withaminimumof4yearsrelevantexperience.
• MustbeaU.S.Citizen.

QUALIFICATIONSWEPREFER:
• Demonstratedexperienceinbuildingcomplexcableassemblies,testboxes,andassembliesoftestsystemsfortheaviationindustry(militaryspecification,AS9100).ExperiencewithMIL-specandHypertronicsconnectorsarepreferred.
• Proficientknowledgeoftools,testingequipment,soldering,andcrimping(hand,electric,pneumatic).
• Proficientknowledgereviewingandeditingengineeringschematicsandwirelists,andMinnesotaStateElectricalcodesandstatuestopassinspection.Familiaritywithhigh-voltageandhigh-pressureequipmentisaplus.
• Demonstratesgoodcommunicationandmentorshipskills.
• StrongunderstandingofElectronicsandElectricaldesignandsafety.
• FamiliaritywithCADmodelingsoftware,preferablySolidWorksorCreo.
• Hands-onmentalitywithacuriositytounderstandhowcomponentsinteractinasystem.
• Familiaritywithstandardavionicsbussesincluding1553,ARINC,CAN,RS485,RS232,and1394
• FamiliaritywithALMJIRAprojectmanagement(Agile).
• Abletofunctionatahighlevelwithmultipletasksandprojects,andtoeffectivelychangedirectionbaseduponbusinessneeds.
