Apply today!About the roleAs a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations of industrial systems and equipment associated with Covanta’s industrial disposal process.Position Responsibilities:Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections utilizing various types of designated industrial equipment and hand/power toolsComplete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details in accordance with facility proceduresTroubleshoot assigned equipment and responsibly report issues and repair requests utilizing defined work order processes and proceduresUtilize weekly activity books and critical items checklist to perform operational and equipment related function checksSafely perform lock-out/tag-out processes of equipment in support of assigned maintenance teamsAdditional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredValid driver’s licenseMust have experience operating heavy industrial equipmentMust have the ability to work a rotating shift scheduleTotal Rewards & Compensation:Competitive Base SalaryDay one employee benefits: competitive health insurance options, PTO, retirement savings plan and 401K matchPhysical Demands of the Role:Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climbAbility to lift/carry 50lbsAbility to work from heights and in confined spacesQualify to wear a full-face respiratorConsistently work in various weather conditionsAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.Pay TransparencyThis role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
