Travel Dietitian - 26-Week Contract

Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours: 45 Hours per Week
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments for patients.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans.
Provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for a variety of clinical conditions.
Monitor patients' nutritional status, food intake, tolerance, and adherence to prescribed diets.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition principles, therapeutic diets, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Document assessments, interventions, care plans, and progress notes according to facility and regulatory standards.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care conferences.
Assist with menu planning and therapeutic diet modifications.
Support quality improvement initiatives and nutrition-related policy development.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
Provide guidance and support to dietary staff regarding nutrition care practices.
Stay current with evidence-based nutrition guidelines and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship Program.
Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
New York State licensure preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Demonstrated cultural competence and patient-centered approach to care.
Experience in acute care, long-term care, rehabilitation, or clinical nutrition settings preferred.
