Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical equipment failures on aviation-related printers and test/measurement equipment.
• Perform repairs on complex aviation printers and related equipment, ensuring functionality and reliability in aerospace applications.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and functional verification using appropriate test and measurement equipment to confirm successful repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, schematics, and technical drawings to guide troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment safely and effectively in a repair and manufacturing environment.
• Document repair work, test results, work orders, and productivity metrics accurately within ERP systems such as NetSuite.
• Evaluate product repairability, identify root causes of failures, and recommend appropriate corrective actions or next steps.
• Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues and support continuous improvement.
• Work independently after training while maintaining clear and professional communication with team members and leadership.
• Progress through structured training on multiple product lines, gradually expanding troubleshooting, testing, and repair capabilities.
• Support quality and productivity goals by following established procedures, maintaining high attention to detail, and meeting performance expectations.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing and repair environment by following safety guidelines and proper tool usage.
• Use computers and software tools, including Excel, Word, and ERP systems, for data entry, documentation, and tracking of repair activities.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, layouts, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or repair setting.
• Hands-on repair and diagnostic testing experience with mechanical or electronic equipment.
• Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and data entry.
• ERP system proficiency, preferably experience with NetSuite for tracking work orders, documenting repairs, and recording testing results.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and natural curiosity about how equipment functions.
• Effective communication skills to interact with technicians, supervisors, and engineering personnel.
• Stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment to long-term employment.
• Ability to work independently after training while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Transferable experience from manufacturing, electronics repair, electromechanical assembly, field service, maintenance, military, aerospace, medical device, or industrial equipment environments.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite for documenting repairs, tracking work orders, and monitoring productivity metrics.
• Technical education such as a Technical Degree, Engineering Technology Certificate, Electronics Technology program, Military Technical Training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Graduates from hands-on technical programs, such as those offered by institutes of technology, are viewed favorably.
• Electronics repair experience, including troubleshooting and component-level work on electronic systems.
• Avionics experience, including avionics installation, repair, or testing of avionics electrical systems.
• Exposure to aircraft maintenance, A&P environments, or aerospace-related technical work.
• Experience with pneumatics, hardware assembly, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experince in test and measurement equipment, including use of avionics system testing software.
• Calibration experience and quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or repair setting.
• Soldering and manufacturing testing experience, particularly in electronics or electromechanical products.
• Military maintenance backgrounds, especially in technical or equipment-focused roles.
• Strong troubleshooting ability paired with blueprint and schematic reading skills.
• Comfort with data entry and computer operation in support of documentation and productivity tracking.
• No specific certifications are required; equivalent hands-on technical experience is strongly valued.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, hands-on manufacturing and repair setting where a team of approximately ten technicians supports the troubleshooting, testing, repair, and evaluation of specialized aviation printers and test/measurement equipment. New hires enter a structured training program, shadowing experienced technicians and learning one product line at a time before gradually expanding their responsibilities and technical scope. The culture emphasizes collaboration, mechanical curiosity, dependability, and long-term career development, with a technician progression program (Technician I–IV) that supports advancement into higher-level technical and potentially engineering-related roles. Technicians regularly use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, computers, and ERP systems such as NetSuite as part of their daily work. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and management demonstrates flexibility for school schedules, childcare needs, and other unique circumstances when communicated proactively. Dress code is manufacturing/business casual, with appropriate attire for a technical production and repair environment; safety requirements and protective equipment may apply depending on the work area and equipment being serviced.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Warwick, RI.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
