About the Position

Job Title: OR RN Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Meditech experience - Strong ortho, neuro, and robotics experience - Willingness to float to general OR Description: The position requires an OR RN with experience in Meditech. The unit has 16 rooms and a total of 53 staff members, including directors, charge RNs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, CNAs, and LPNs. Staffing includes 15 RNs and 15 techs on day shift, with similar staffing for the night shift. Patient ratios are typically 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1. Key equipment includes sterile accessories, circulators, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, and cords. The RN will need to prepare the operating room, arrange equipment, and assist doctors during surgeries. Other responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment. The RN will also keep inventory records and assist with pre and post-surgical care, including shaving, transporting, and applying dressings. Candidates with robotics/Da Vinci experience and scrubbing capabilities are preferred. A comprehensive stroke center with recent upgrades and improved facilities provides a dynamic work environment. This position emphasizes adaptability in a fast-paced setting and the ability to function independently.
