CT Technologist

Employment Type & Schedule Part time, 40 hrs per pay period (bi-weekly) 3 p‑11:30 p, rotating weekends and holidays according to CBA. Shift: Evening. Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $10,000 for eligible full‑time new hires and up to $5,000 for eligible part‑time new hires. Position Summary The CT Technologist performs CT procedures on patients and completes related tasks to reflect CT services provided. Responsibilities Greet patients and explain procedures. Answer questions and instruct patients during procedures. Perform CT scans and teach other staff according to established protocol. Position patients for exam and use positioning aids to assure precise view. Determine correct scanning protocol and exposure factor for exam. Monitor image and modify imaging protocol to achieve optimum examination results, keeping dose reduction a priority. Label scans appropriately and review and submit studies in PACS. Prepare contrast media and administer to patients. Interpret and follow Renal Prophylaxis Protocol, raising questions when necessary. Maintain inventory and perform minor equipment repairs or adjustments; recognize need for repairs and submit work orders. Maintain patient logs and CTDI reporting. Qualifications Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Society of Nuclear Medicine.
