Use your school nursing expertise to make a meaningful difference as an onsite RN or LPN supporting a student on a 1:1 basis in a local educational environment near Waukegan, IL. This full-time contract position provides an opportunity to foster a safe and supportive learning atmosphere while delivering high-quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

• Current and active RN or LPN license in Illinois
• Experience in a school nursing or pediatric care setting preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills for school-age populations
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Compassion, reliability, and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care for one student, ensuring all health needs are met throughout the school day
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, medication administration, and emergency interventions as needed
• Act as a liaison between student, school staff, and healthcare providers, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Document nursing interventions and outcomes accurately in accordance with policy
• Participate in care team meetings and contribute nursing insights to support the student’s educational experience
