Job Title: Operator Job Description

The Operator will routinely use molds and presses in the production process to produce first part and regular production parts efficiently with minimal to no supervision. The role requires the ability to work on manufacturing assignments per written procedures and recognize deviations from accepted practices. A team-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate press machine to create parts using molds.
• Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions.
• Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length.
• Manually place a variety of materials in molds, on mandrels, or in build fixtures.
• Weigh stock and scrap for salvage purposes.
• Monitor individual production for defective parts for early defect detection.
• Regularly use production equipment and tools such as calipers and scales.
• Complete materials handling recordkeeping according to company and ISO standards.
• Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a work area free of safety hazards and clutter, including setup and cleanup at the start and end of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skill in reading a tape measure.
• Proficiency in using hand tools to fabricate parts.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with production line operations.
• Hand dexterity.
• Experience with finishing processes.
• Ability to operate Day XL Press.
• Skilled in using calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of exact education requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $22.00/hr.
