School Psychologist | Santa Fe, NM | Full Time

Position Details
August 3, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Schedule: 35 hours per week / 7 hours per day
Elementary
Onsite 

Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based psychological and behavioral support to elementary students.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans and behavior support strategies.
  • Assist teachers and school staff with managing student behaviors effectively across classroom and other school settings.
  • Consult with educators and multidisciplinary teams regarding student behavioral, social-emotional, and academic needs.
  • Participate in pre-referral activities and provide recommendations regarding appropriate interventions and supports.
  • Conduct and/or assist with evaluative activities as appropriate to student needs and school requirements.
  • Support the identification of appropriate interventions using student data and behavioral observations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals to promote positive student outcomes.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations related to student behavior, learning, and social-emotional development.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and observed outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow school/district policies and procedures.
  • Provide services across one or potentially two elementary school sites as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's or higher degree in School Psychology, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, as applicable to the role and New Mexico requirements.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing behavior plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and train school staff in behavior management strategies.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral interventions, student evaluations, pre-referral processes, and school-based support systems.
  • Strong communication, consultation, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be comfortable providing services onsite.
  • Must be able to travel/work between two elementary school sites, if assigned.
