Senior Platform Security Engineer

Salary: $140,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

• Were looking for 5+ years of experience in information security, SRE, or systems engineering.
• We need strong software development skills in Python or Go, with experience building production services.
• You should have solid hands-on experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including IAM roles, VPCs, and native security controls.
• We expect practical experience with Kubernetes/EKS and containerization concepts, including pod security policies and container lifecycle management.
• You should understand IAM principles, RBAC, and least-privilege access models.
• You should be proficient in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• You must be able to independently define, scope, and deliver technical goals with minimal oversight.
• Preferred experience includes working with identity providers such as Okta and standards such as SAML/OIDC.
• Preferred experience includes writing policy as code, such as Open Policy Agent/Rego.
• A background in Linux systems engineering or network security is a plus.
• Experience building and operating high-availability critical systems is preferred.

• We build and maintain security controls for AWS and Kubernetes EKS environments, including guardrails, container security scanning, and Terraform-based infrastructure security.
• We support IAM efforts by helping design and maintain access controls, RBAC models, and identity governance workflows.
• We design, deploy, and maintain internal security services and platforms that other engineering teams depend on.
• We partner with engineering teams as a security advisor, helping them make secure architecture decisions while supporting innovation.
• We collaborate across functions with AppSec, Threat Detection, and GRC to identify and reduce risk across the stack.
• We participate in an on-call rotation for platform security incidents.
