Job Summary

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Machine is hydraulic brake press. Programs for parts are input directly to the machine by the operator based on the blueprint.
• Setup & Operation : Preparing the machine by loading tools: punches and dies specific to the job requirements. Create the programs for the bends using bend deductions, drawing information for various angles and offsets.
• Quality Control : Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed. Basic blueprint reading, first-off inspections and in-process inspections. Main tools needed are tape measure and calipers.
• Maintenance : Performing routine basic maintenance check on the machine to keep it in good working order, including cleaning and lubricating parts, reporting issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Technical Skills : Understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality production standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Safety : Following safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes: Safety glasses, High visibility vest, Hard hat, Safety shoes with metatarsal guarding, Gloves (cut resistant, cotton, nitrile), Sleeves (cut resistant)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs maximum
• An individual must possess a high school diploma/ GED
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic Math
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry
• Previous forklift experience
• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Computer literate.
