Role Description The Massage Therapist at Blue Lotus Massage is a full-time, on-site role based in Appleton, WI. In this position, the therapist provides professional bodywork sessions, including a variety of therapeutic and relaxation-focused massages, tailored to each client's needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client intake and assessment, maintaining accurate session notes, preparing and cleaning treatment rooms, and ensuring a welcoming, safe environment. The role also involves educating clients on stress management techniques, aftercare, and wellness practices, while delivering consistent, respectful, and high-quality service. The therapist collaborates with the practice owner or team on scheduling, client communication, and maintaining professional standards of hygiene and confidentiality. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage, with the ability to adapt techniques to individual client needs. Training or experience in Shiatsu or similar modalities that support holistic, body-focused treatments. Strong Customer Service abilities, including clear communication, empathy, and professionalism in client interactions. Knowledge of Stress Management principles and techniques to help clients improve overall wellness. Current state massage therapy license in Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain), and completion of an accredited massage therapy program. Understanding of professional ethics, confidentiality, and infection control standards in a clinical or spa setting. Ability to work full-time on-site, manage a steady client schedule, and maintain physical stamina for multiple sessions per day.
