Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sonographer specializes in performing echocardiography procedures to aid in diagnosing cardiac conditions. They work closely with healthcare teams to provide accurate imaging that supports patient care and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform adult echocardiography scans including 2D, Doppler, CW, PW, and valve studies.
• Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
• Utilize equipment such as Canon i700 and i900 to capture high-quality images.
• Assess and identify cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, and effusions.
• Maintain proficiency in advanced echocardiographic techniques and up-to-date practices.
• Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARDMS or CCI certification in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Be RDCS certified with an active AHA BLS certification.
• Demonstrate competence in adult echocardiography, including Doppler and valvular studies.
• Possess excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
