Camp Counselor

Description Job Summary Camp Counselors are responsible for providing leadership, ensuring the safety of all campers, and direct supervision of children for all planned activities. Helps the Youth Activities Manager plan, organize, and oversee all junior activities for Members’ and guests’ children, such as arts and crafts, games, and off-propertyrips. Aids in organizing and preparing the learning environment, lessons, and necessary supplies for program activities. Ensure that campers enjoy a youth-focused atmosphere consistent and sensitive to the needs of the participants with learning, emotional, or behavioral differences while being a positive role model for all. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication is of utmost importance. Job Responsibilities Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of kids in camp by providing appropriate supervision at all times. Assist children with camp activities. Directly supervise campers while swimming or participating in sports. Maintain accurate program documentation related to attendance, off-site trips, accidents, and incidents. Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all participants. Actively participate in training sessions. Adhere to Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting requirements and adhere to our Youth Protection Program guidelines daily.
