Leasing Specialist

Client: Established commercial real estate investment firm Title: Commercial Leasing Specialist Location: Newark, NJ Salary: $50,000 plus bonus We are partnering with a growing real estate organization seeking a Commercial Leasing Specialist to support leasing activity across a diverse commercial portfolio. This is a sales-oriented, relationship-driven opportunity for someone who enjoys prospecting, negotiating, building connections, and helping drive occupancy growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leasing, sales, business development, or customer-facing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities Prospect and develop relationships with prospective commercial tenants through networking, outreach, and market canvassing Conduct property tours and present available spaces to prospects Support lease negotiations, proposals, renewals, and deal structuring Build relationships with brokers, business owners, and local market contacts Maintain leasing activity and pipeline updates within CRM systems Partner internally with property management and operations teams to support tenant retention and occupancy goals Assist with marketing and promotional efforts related to available space Track activity and provide regular reporting on leasing efforts and market activity Qualifications Experience in leasing, sales, business development, account management, or other relationship-driven roles Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Comfortable with prospecting and proactive outreach Self-starter with strong follow-through and problem-solving ability Ability to work in a field-based, relationship-oriented environment Experience in commission or performance-driven environments is a plus Commercial real estate exposure is helpful but not required Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
