Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (Program Coordinator)

The Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (Program Coordinator) reports directly to the Section Chief, Suicide Prevention Programs. Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains a list of patients determined to be currently high-risk for suicide and monitors their care to assure needed services are being received.
  • Ensures implementation of Category 1 Flags per Central Office Directives.
  • Provides suicide prevention training to Veterans, staff and community members.
  • Provides ongoing psychotherapy to patients as appropriate.
  • Provides consultation services and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and development of psychological services.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.
