Your Role as a Provider
As a clinician, you are an expert in the assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of health conditions for your patients. As an independent contractor with VES, you apply your expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of audio conditions to support a Veteran’s disability claim. You gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations. You develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran’s condition is related to their military service. The timely and expert examination ensures that a Veteran’s claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.
Typical workflow for a provider:
- Exam Request Received
- Testing and Exam Schedule
- Provider Reviews Records
- Veteran Exam Completion
- Report Reviewed and Submitted
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au.D), Masters of Audiology (M.A.), Masters of Science Degree in Audiology (M.S.), PhD in Audiology, Masters in Communication Disorders (MCD), Doctor of Education in Audiology (Ed.D)
- Active and unrestricted license in the state where exams are performed.
