Leisure Glen Post Acute Care Center in Glendale, California, is looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team!
We offer a welcoming, collaborative work environment with a wonderful team of therapists, a convenient Glendale location, and plenty of on-site parking.
Whether you're an experienced SLP or looking to further develop your clinical skills in a skilled nursing setting, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' functional abilities and quality of life.
- Provide skilled dysphagia management, cognitive rehabilitation, and communication therapy.
- Complete accurate and timely evaluations, progress reports, and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, PT, OT, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident care.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment recommendations and strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current California SLP license.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills.
- Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
