Contract Duration: 6 Months

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.

Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patient health status.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and facility staff.

Educate patients regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Adhere to correctional facility policies, procedures, and security protocols.

Requirements

Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License

Current BLS Certification

Minimum 1 year of RN experience (Correctional experience preferred)

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Previous correctional, psychiatric, emergency room, or medical-surgical nursing experience

Knowledge of infection control and chronic disease management

Experience handling emergency and crisis situations
