Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

Join the Jackson HealthPros team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions. This opportunity is for a travel assignment at a hospital-based freestanding emergency department in Charlotte, NC. The facility opened in 2020 and provides 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and ultrasound services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (S).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with general emergency department ultrasound imaging.
• Ability and willingness to perform adjacent clinical tasks when not performing ultrasound, including vital signs, patient sitting for behavioral observations, basic patient transport, and assisting with lines and labs.
• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record and Epic Radiant/RIS preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in emergency department settings and freestanding emergency departments.
• Familiarity with Philips iSite PACS and Siemens Sequoia ultrasound systems preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
• Traveler must be willing to float to support ultrasound needs at additional nearby FSED locations as needed.
• Department average: approximately 45 ED visits per day and about 5 ultrasound studies per day.
• Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) typically 1 day; departmental orientation 2 days to 1 week as needed.
• Scrub color: black.
