Experience Required: 6 Years as a transactional attorney. Real estate finance experience preferred.

Our client, a global financial services company, is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to join their New York office. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of legal experience at a law firm or comparable in-house role.

Responsibilities

Provide legal support for a portfolio of bilateral commercial real estate lending transactions.
Advise business teams throughout the lifecycle of mortgage and construction loans from origination through closing, servicing, and workout.
Assist the General Counsel and other attorneys in handling overall activities of the Legal Department, including supervising support staff.

Compensation

Base annual salary is expected to start at $230,000 to $270,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
