Behavior Technician Or Registered Behavior Technician (Rbt)Location: Several Locations AvailableReports To: Direct SupervisorPosition Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: The Behavior Technician supports students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in the school environment. The Behavior Technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collects data, and helps create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.Key Responsibilities:Implement behavior intervention plans.Support students in general education or special education classrooms to promote positive behaviorsUse strategies to increase skills in areas such as communication, social interaction, and academic engagement.Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and skill acquisition.Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed, while maintaining a calm disposition.Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency and continuity of interventions.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in compliance with school and district policies.Complete training and certification requirements, including CPI which could include implementing restraint methods.Qualifications:Required: High school diploma or equivalentExperience working with children, preferably in a school or special education settingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsRBT certification OR proof of completion of 40 hour modules toward certification for Registered Behavior Technician (40 hour modules available online for free at Autism Partnership Foundation)Application Procedure: Apply OnlineSelection Procedure: Team will reach out to schedule interview if interested
