Substitute Nurse
Provide health services to students in the absence of the regular campus nurse. Support student success by promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students, staff, and the school community.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License. Valid CPR Certification.
- Special Knowledge/Skills: Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Practical knowledge of nursing procedures and techniques relevant to children. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while following district policies and procedures.
- Experience: School nursing experience preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and first aid to students.
- Administer medications and treatments according to district policies.
- Maintain accurate student health records and report concerns as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Consult with Lead Nurses or other campus nurses for support and guidance as necessary.
Pay: $125 per day (RN or LVN)
