Tax Manager – HNW & Public Accounting

Location: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Hollywood, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Model: Hybrid

About the Role

A leading public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, professional services clients, trusts, partnerships, and related entities.

This is a highly client-facing position offering the opportunity to lead sophisticated tax planning and compliance engagements, advise high-value clients, mentor tax professionals, and contribute to long-term client relationships and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex individual, partnership, S-Corporation, trust, and gift tax engagements .

  • Serve as a primary tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals and professional services clients .

  • Develop strategic tax planning solutions involving:

    • Compensation structures

    • K-1 allocations

    • Multi-state taxation

    • Entity structuring

    • Pass-through taxation

  • Lead multiple client engagements while managing budgets, workflow, deadlines, and deliverables.

  • Review complex tax returns and provide technical guidance.

  • Mentor, develop, and review the work of staff and senior tax professionals.

  • Manage and strengthen client relationships.

  • Coordinate with attorneys, wealth advisors, financial professionals, and other outside advisors.

  • Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues.

  • Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities.

  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active CPA license – REQUIRED.

  • 7+ years of public accounting tax experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge of:

    • High-net-worth taxation

    • Partnership taxation

    • Trust taxation

    • S-Corporation taxation

    • Pass-through taxation

  • Experience managing complex tax engagements.

  • Strong client relationship and advisory experience.

  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team-management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Experience handling multiple clients and competing deadlines.

  • Steady work history with demonstrated career progression.

  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in South Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state tax experience.

  • Multi-entity tax experience.

  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families.

  • Professional services client experience.

  • Trust and gift tax experience.

  • Experience working directly with attorneys, wealth advisors, and other professional advisors.
