Respiratory Shop / Warehouse Technician

Hahnville, LA
Duration: 12-Month Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Respiratory Shop / Warehouse Technician to support respiratory equipment management and warehouse operations at a large industrial site. This role combines hands-on equipment inspection and maintenance with inventory control, material handling, and warehouse support activities.

Key Responsibilities

Respiratory Shop Operations

• Inspect, clean, maintain, and test respiratory protection equipment.
• Perform bump testing and functional checks on gas detection monitors.
• Inspect and maintain fresh air cylinders and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and compliance documentation.
• Manage equipment issuance, returns, rentals, and inventory tracking.
• Identify damaged or expired equipment and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support emergency response readiness through equipment availability.

Warehouse Operations

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Load and unload deliveries and perform material transfers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle count activities.
• Perform warehouse transactions using computer-based systems.
• Stage materials for maintenance, operations, and project teams.
• Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards.

Required Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn SAP, inventory systems, and mobility applications.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment.
