Machine Shop Supervisor

BD seeks a Production Supervisor to lead machine shop operations at its Sandy, Utah facility. The role involves overseeing CNC machining teams, managing production scheduling, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement in medical device component manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and prioritize production jobs using ERP systems to meet deadlines
- Lead, hire, train, and develop machine shop team members with performance management
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, GMPs, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Support CNC operations including setup, programming, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years machine shop experience with 3+ years supervisory role
- CNC machining environment experience required
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- ERP system proficiency (Job Boss preferred)
- CNC setup and programming knowledge (Mastercam preferred)
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel
