Position SummaryKAG Logistics is seeking a driven, results-oriented Cradle-to-Grave Logistics Broker to manage the full lifecycle of freight transactions—from prospecting and onboarding shippers to carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, dispatch, and final delivery. This role is responsible for building a book of business, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of shipments.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem-solving, and is motivated by performance-based earnings.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentProspect and develop new shipper relationships through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referralsBuild and manage a personal book of businessNegotiate competitive freight rates with customersIdentify opportunities for growth within existing accountsCarrier Procurement & ManagementSource and vet qualified carriersNegotiate rates to maximize margin while ensuring service reliabilityDevelop and maintain strong carrier relationshipsEnsure all carriers meet compliance and insurance requirementsFreight OperationsCoordinate and dispatch shipments from pickup through deliveryTrack loads and proactively communicate updates to customersTroubleshoot and resolve service issues in real timeManage documentation including rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and invoicingFinancial ManagementManage gross margin on each loadAccurately input load details into TMSAssist with billing and collections as neededMonitor profitability and KPIsQualificationsMust have business to business inside sales, and / or transferable customer account management experience.Must have a bachelor’s degree2-5 years of freight brokerage or 3PL experience preferred Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationshipsStrong negotiation skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to multitask and manage high shipment volumeProficient in TMS systems and Microsoft Office/Google WorkspaceHighly organized and detail-orientedNote: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
