In this role, you will drive quality actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in order to meet or exceed all regulatory and customer requirements. This role is supporting the forging and machining operations in Anniston, AL.

Activities Include:

• Supporting PFMEA's and creating Control Plans for all product lines
• Creating/modifying inspection instructions
• Liaising with government quality assurance representative to ensure conforming product is presented to government
• Lead RCCA investigations
• Lead MRB teams
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform quote and contract review to ensure customer quality requirements are captured and communicated to manufacturing

Minimum Education and Experience

• College degree in engineering discipline
• 5+ years experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment

Required Skills

• PFMEA/Control Plan experience
• Highly effective communicator
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in CNC machining
• GD&T proficiency

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating in an organization with government quality oversight;
• Experience with NDT (mag particle)
• Experience with Gage R&R studies
• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements;
• Familiarity and working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards;
• Experience with Lean and process improvement tools/methods;
• Experience with Six Sigma and SPC techniques
• Experience with programming in polyworks
