Customer Service Agent

Build rapport and trust with clients by consistently delivering exceptional service Process and input customer orders Run and print shipments from WMS Run stock reports to check product availability Generate paperwork and information required for customer work orders Check orders for special requests Expedite and trace orders and notify customers about merchandise activity Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met Verify customers and assure proper invoicing of accounts Handle returned merchandise and ensure proper customer credit Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding work orders, invoicing, shipments, and inventory management Liaise between the warehouse, office, and customers regarding account administration, invoicing, and credit changes Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents Gather and maintain shipping and receiving data and records Reconcile receiving and shipping counts with packing lists, purchase orders, and picking documents Prepare customer service reports as required by supervisors Assist in resolving discrepancies Enter and verify data for customer orders, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, and adjustments Oversee order paperwork and maintain corresponding files Answer phones, operate office machines and computers, greet customers and visitors, and correspond with customers Route calls, provide general information, direct visitors, and assist drivers at the check-in window Cross-train in other administrative staff functions Work overtime as dictated by business needs Requirements Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1 year experience in Customer Service-related capacity Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months Intermediate computer skills Proficient with MS Office Applications WMS functions English reading, writing, and verbal skills Business writing proficiency Intermediate mathematical skills to verify product quantities, count inventory, and perform related duties Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to perform job tasks in a timely manner Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance Ability to multi-task Effective communication skills Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds Ability to reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel Preferred: 1–3 years warehouse/logistics support experience Preferred: 2–3 years’ experience in Customer Service-related capacity Core Competencies Demonstrates strong customer service skills with a focus on accuracy in order processing, invoicing, and inventory management.
